I am editing a macro that I just captured. Every keystroke is duplicated.

It sounds like there is a double instance of the keyboard hook running. In the Keyboard Express window, click on File | Terminate Keyboard Express to close the program. Then restart it and recapture the macro. This should clear the problem.
