It is possible for other programs which are run after Keyboard Express to improperly install themselves into the system wide Windows keyboard hooks. This causes Keyboard Express to no longer be able to monitor keystrokes. Keyboard Express monitors keystrokes in order to know when a key combination should activate a macro or to allow the keystrokes to pass through as typed.

This option reinserts the Windows keyboard hooks used by Keyboard Express. It allows Keyboard Express to have the first look at the keystrokes.
